Dilemma

Just like Nelly and Kelly, I have a serious dilemma (also, a terrible sense of humor and an unabiding love for 2000's era R & B).  I have wanted the Mark & Estel T-Shirt Dress ever since I saw it on Grechen, and went to considerable trouble to hunt one down.  I envisioned it being the perfect "throw on and go" dress for spring weekends.  I loved how it looked so put-together but was easy and comfortable at the same time.

So you can imagine my disappointment when it turned out to be much shorter than pictured on the model (and at 5'7" there is no way that I am taller than the Mark & Estel model).*  In my opinion, the shorter length majorly detracts from the sophistication and versatility of the dress.  Not to mention, who likes to have their knees framed for display like that?

All of these factors have me wanting to send it back... but... I have wanted it for so long!  It is the only one left in my size!  Is it really that short?  Please advise.

*It is my theory that I actually have a defective dress on my hands and perhaps that is why it was the last one hanging around.

  1. I really like that t-shirt dress. If you decide you don't want it, I'll totally steal it from you. And I dont think it's THAT short. Just don't wear it to work. Or over any air vents. Plus, you totally have the stems to pull it off.

  2. I didn't think it looked short until it was paired with the jacket. I'm not sure how that made a difference, but for me it did. It looks very cute in the first picture and will be a great go to for street-fests and other events where it'll be hot. Like Hannah said, if you don't want it, I'll take it because I'm a shortie....but I suppose sisters come first. ;)

  3. I like it! Did you keep it? Did you get it when it was on sale? That might make the difference, but I don't think it looks too short. Plus you got nice legs!

  4. Ha! I finally sent it to my tan, runner sister (who REALLY has some nice legs!) as an early birthday gift.
